I was reading today the Book of Mormon and I found a lot of deep important things, that everyone can use in their life. The main character there is Nephi. He was a truly believe in God. He had brothers that did not had that strong faith as he did. Their father asked them to come back to Jerusalem, which they left, and pick up the important writings about their ancestry. Well, I would not tell all the story. I just want to focus on the main spiritual lessons I got from it.
1 Nephi 4:1 we can read, that Nephi knew how strong God is. If we faithful enough and keeping the Lord's commandments, then He can protect us even from the biggest army of enemies. Next thing - if we already believe in God and that He can help us, why we still doubting things He asking us to do?! That is really great question for me! Even I do this sometimes. But at my own experience I saw that it works the best way if I just rely on God and go forward. The Holy Ghost can help us if we will just listen to him. As Nephi did in 1 Nephi 4:6 "And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do." And it worked out pretty well.
When I was listening to God in some really important choices, I made the best decisions ever. Because one day I was really down and instead of just stay depressed, I talked to God and asked Him for help really sincerely. I got my answer what to do pretty soon. I know, that Lord always watching me and ready to help if I just let Him do so. This words in 1 Nephi 4:14 so true: "Inasmuch as thy seed shall keep my commandments, thou shall prosper in the land of promise."I am so grateful that I know this Gospel and that I have my Heavenly Father always by my side. I know that each of us can rely on Him in their life and this will be the best thing you ever did in you life, because it will break even more marvelous things in your life's. Believe me, I really know it!
